Cameron Diaz, 53, has a lot to say on having children later in life amid surprise arrival of baby number 3

Cameron Diaz, 53, and husband Benji Madden, 47, welcomed their third bundle of joy named Nautus on Monday, May 4.

The duo are also doting parents to Raddix, born in 2019 and Cardinal, born in 2024.

Benji shared the exciting news on Instagram, announcing: « Cameron and I are Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third Child, Nautas Madden. Welcome to the world Son!! »

He added: « We love life with our family – our kids are healthy and happy, and we are grateful!!! Having a blast. Sending all our best wishes. »

Cameron’s take on motherhood in her older years

The star, who proudly calls herself an « older mom, » got candid on the GOOP podcast alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and revealed: « The whole concept of aging has just changed completely, even in the last 10 years. »

The actress added: « It’s totally opened up. I’m excited. I’ve got 50 or 60 years to go — I want to live to be 110 since I’ve got a young child. »

She continued: « I think you have this amazing moment in your 40s where you appreciate who your parents are, and I want to have that moment with her — be there with her in her 40s. »

Cameron also spoke about the difficulties that she faced with having a child later on, during the YouTube series, No Filter: « Having a family when you’re young…it’s like anything when you’re young: You do it. But when you’re my age and you decide to do it, it’s a real choice. You really have to work hard for it. » 

The star joked: « The only pressure for me now is I have to live to be 107. No pressure! » 

Cameron’s take on Benji as a father

Cameron gushed about how supportive Benji is and what a great parent he is. She previously expressed on Instagram Live: « I drink every night [as] my wind-down for the day…after we’ve done bath time with our baby and put her down to sleep. »

The performer added: « Benji puts her to bed. Like, he’s so good. He’s such an amazing father. I’m so lucky he’s my baby’s daddy. Like, he’s so incredible. »

The happy parents began dating in 2014 and they tied the knot the following year, and the rest was history.
