Police have identified six accused in the murder case of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui. Of them, three accused have been arrested so far. Baba Siddiqui was shot dead outside his office on Saturday. Later, he was rushed to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, where he died.
In this case, the police had arrested two attackers - Dharamraj Rajesh Kashyap and Gurmail Baljeet Singh - from the spot. Later, the police also arrested the third accused, Praveen Lonkar.
Praveen Lonkar is the one whose brother Shubham Lonkar had taken the blame for Baba Siddiqui's murder on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang on social media. Three accused - Shivkumar Gautam, Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar and Shubham Lonkar are absconding.
Initial investigation revealed that along with Dharamraj Kashyap and Gurmail Singh, the third shooter at the spot was Shivkumar Gautam, who is still at large. Police believe that Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar is the mastermind behind Baba Siddiqui's murder.

According to the police, on Saturday night, Dharamraj, Shiv Kumar and Gurmel went outside Baba Siddiqui's office in Mumbai's Bandra area. Baba Siddiqui was bursting crackers when he was shot.
Mumbai Police said that the accused had also carried pepper spray with them, which they wanted to use on Baba Siddiqui, but Shiv started firing directly. Baba Siddiqui's security guards caught Dharamraj and Gurmil, while Shiv managed to escape from there.
What do we know about the accused?
Dharamraj and Shiv Kumar are both residents of Uttar Pradesh, while Gurmel is a resident of Kaithal, Haryana. While Zeeshan Akhtar is a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab.
Gurmel's grandmother told the media that his parents are dead and he is nothing to them. He said he was released from prison on bail three months ago, but he is not living at home.
Meanwhile, Shiv Kumar and Dharamraj, residents of UP, had no criminal records. Shiv Kumar's mother said he had gone to work in a flea market in Pune and came to the village only on Holi.
According to Anil Kumar Singh, in-charge of Kaiserganj Circle, Shiv Kumar had come to Maharashtra a few years ago to work as a labourer and that's when he met Dharamraj.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly taken responsibility for Baba Siddiqui's murder. However, the police have not confirmed it yet. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has also threatened to kill Salman Khan. It is claimed that Baba Siddiqui was murdered due to his proximity to Salman Khan. However, all these things are still under investigation.
