JAKARTA – Baim Wong visited the grave of his mother, Kartini Marta Atmadja. He shared this moment with his late mother on her birthday. In a touching message, Baim expressed his longing that never truly subsided.
Visiting his mother's grave, Baim admitted that he had brought a story with him that he was unable to share with anyone. For him, only his mother truly understood him, even before he had the chance to tell his story.
“Happy birthday, Mamah,” Baim writes, beginning his story.
“I came here with a story I can’t share with anyone. If I tell it to others, they just listen. But to Mom first. Mom understood, even before I spoke,” he continued.
He also apologized for often pretending to be strong in front of the world. But at his mother's grave, he reverted to a fragile little child who yearned for a hug.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I often pretend to be strong in front of the world, but here, in front of you, I'm still your fragile child. I'm sorry, I can't give you any gift other than tears," he wrote.
Even though he was filled with sadness, Baim still included a prayer in every tear that fell. He hoped that Allah would give his mother the best place, warmer than his embrace so far.
“May Allah hug Mamah more warmly than I ever could. May Allah grant Mamah the best place, a bright paradise, comparable to the love Mamah once had for her children,” Baim hoped.
He also concluded the message with a nostalgic sentence, hinting that they would see each other again one day.
"We'll catch up with Mamah one by one. We'll take this test one by one first, okay, Mah. See you soon, I miss you so much, Mah."
