In the Jharkhand Assembly elections, the INDIA bloc performed well and won 56 out of 81 seats, while the NDA was restricted to just 24 seats. But the most talked about seats were the VVIP seats in the state, where the reputation of many senior leaders and their families were at stake.

The results of these seats showed that Hemant Soren's charisma lives on in the state, while the BJP suffered a major blow due to the defeat of its big faces. Nisat Alam, wife of former Jharkhand minister Alamgir Alam, who was arrested by the ED, won from Pakur with a maximum margin of 86,029 votes.

VVIP Seat Results

Barhait (ST): Chief Minister Hemant Soren (JMM) has once again registered a big victory from his traditional seat. By defeating BJP's Kamal Hembram, he proved that he remains the biggest face of Jharkhand politics.

Dumka (ST): Hemant Soren's brother Basant Soren (JMM) defeated BJP's Sunil Soren on this seat. This victory is another example of the strength of the Soren family.

Gandey: Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren (JMM) gave a flying start to her political career by defeating BJP's Muniya Devi.

Ghatshila (ST): Former Chief Minister Champai Soren's son Babu Lal Soren (BJP) faced defeat in this seat. Ramdas Soren (JMM) won here.

Potka (ST): Arjun Munda's wife Meera Munda (BJP) pulled off a major upset by defeating Sanjeev Sardar (JMM).

Jagannathpur (ST): Madhu Koda's wife Geeta Koda (BJP) was defeated by Congress' Sona Ram Sinku.

Jamtara: Shibu Soren's daughter-in-law Sita Murmu (BJP) was defeated by Irfan Ansari of the Congress.

Jamshedpur East: The BJP got a relief in this seat. Raghubar Das' daughter-in-law Purnima Sahu defeated Congress' Ajay Kumar.

Seraikela (ST): Former Chief Minister Champai Soren (BJP) won here.

Dhanwar: Former BJP chief minister Babu Lal Marandi gave some relief to the NDA by winning this seat.

The results of the VVIP seats have clearly shown that the influence of Hemant Soren remains intact in the politics of Jharkhand. The Soren family played a key role in these elections and Chief Minister Hemant Soren ensured victory not only for himself but also for his family members.
