Funny moment Dee Lestari was offered a first writing role, writes Tickles commentary

JAKARTA – Dee Lestari's popularity as a writer and composer doesn't seem to be a guarantee that her name will be widely known. The woman whose full name is Dewi Lestari Simangungsong recently revealed a funny moment after being offered his writing debut amidst his big name.

Dee revealed this via a screenshot posted to her Instagram. The photo contains a conversation between Dee and an editor whose identity has been concealed.

“Halo kak Dee Lestari, Perkenalkan aku XXXX dari XXXXXXXXX. (Dee merahasiakan identitas pengirim). Aku melihat karya tulisan kak Dee Lestari yang sangat menarik kak, Apakah sebelumnya Kakak sudah pernah menbit karya Kakak menjadi sebuah buku? » this is the message addressed to Dee Lestari, quoted Thursday (4/17/2025).

In the caption of the download, the author of the famous books "Paper Boat" to "Supernova" wrote a no less funny message. For him, this is one of life's challenges that must be overcome.

“Hidup memang rangkaian ujian,” wrote Dee Lestari.

The message seems to show the sender's ignorance of the figure of Dee Lestari and all of her phenomenal works that are often adapted into films.

The post immediately sparked a public reaction and garnered more than three thousand comments from internet users.

Amanda Zevanya, for example, the host made hilarious comments as if she were someone who didn't know Dee Lestari.
