The possibility of connecting the human brain to computers has fascinated us for decades, especially after the founding text of cyperpunk, the Neuromancer by American writer William Gibson (published in 1984), which describes a future where one could merge with the computer and literally slide across the cybernetic web.
But in reality, these brain-machine interfaces are mainly useful for repair the body human victim of paralysis, in particular to decode speech or allow the user to control the cursor of a computer, or to regain mobility thanks to connected prostheses or exoskeletons.
