President Yoon Seok-yeol congratulated the Korean national team on winning gold medals in all categories of archery at the 2024 Paris Olympics on the 4th, saying, "Team Korea is fighting."
After Kim Woo-jin won the men's individual archery event in a close match that ended in a shoot-off against American player Brady Ellison, Chairman Yoon posted on his SNS (Social Network Service), "I held my breath and watched this." It was a great match. Kim Woo-jin is really amazing," he wrote.
The Korean national archery team won gold medals in all archery events for the second time since the 2016 Rio Olympics, with Kim Woo-jin winning gold in the men's and women's team event, the mixed event and the women's individual event. Since there was no mixed competition at the Rio Olympics, this is the first time that five gold medals have been won in a single archery event.
