Since 2000, several paralyzed people have gotten up and walked again. This is particularly true thanks to the most advanced brain implants, designed in Grenoble by scientists at the Clinatec research center. In 2019, a quadriplegic moved by controlling an exoskeleton with his mind. In 2023, the device enabled another quadriplegic patient (following a spinal cord injury) to walk again, thanks to an implant located in his spinal cord.
