This male alternative to contraceptive options for women has been awaited for at least about ten yearsBut each time, the approach used proves dangerous or ineffective. However, scientists are not giving up and are continuing their quest to find new ways to temporarily block male fertility without affecting their health. The latest trial: a molecule that stops sperm production without significant side effects. This new alternative was presented on April 7, 2026, in the journal PNAS by researchers from Cornell University in the United States.
