Each stage of life shapes our response to illness and pathogens. And if some people survive the winter without a cold while others are still feverish in the spring, it's because no two people have the same immune system. Our natural defenses depend on many factors and, importantly, evolve throughout our lives.

Development The immune system in toddlers is dictated by factors such as diet, encounters with pathogens, etc. Until the age of 30-35, the adult body's ability to provide protective cells is working at full capacity, then it begins to slow down, as the body becomes less resistant to fight infections and diseases.
