Infrasound could contribute to certain so-called paranormal experiences, according to a study from MacEwan University (Canada).
This one, published in the magazine Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience, shows that exposure to very low frequency sounds (18 hertz) increases stress and cortisol levels in volunteers, without them consciously perceiving these vibrations.
