The first inter-university diploma (DIU) in aesthetic medicine since the previous one was abolished in 2013 has just opened in France to harmonize and validate the practice of aesthetics. But between unregulated centers and "fake injectors" on social media, the work of regularizing aesthetic medicine is far from over.

After more than a decade of legal uncertainty surrounding the practice of aesthetic medicine, for which there was no longer any recognized training, a new inter-university diploma (DIU) was launched in January 2025. This is an important step forward as more and more patients are falling into the net of poorly trained practitioners, or even non-doctors guilty of illegally practicing medicine.
