We all know that aging is not easy and brings its share of health problems. Fortunately, seniors have a tremendous asset for aging well: their grandchildren! “Healthy aging rests on three pillars: good social integration, feeling useful, and being sufficiently active cognitively and physically. Spending time with grandchildren is an activity that reinforces these three points.” recalls Yvonne Brehmer, professor at the University of Tilburg (Netherlands), specialist in the links between cognition and aging.
