Pete Wicks le beau gosse de TOWIE, a suscité une tempête de spéculations sur sa vie amoureuse, les fans étant impatients de décoder sa relation avec son amie proche Maura Higgins et sa partenaire de Strictly Come Dancing Jowita Przytal. La star de télé-réalité de 36 ans a été surprise en train de partager un baiser avec Maura à plusieurs reprises, tandis que son lien avec Jowita n’a fait que se renforcer au cours de leur passage dans Strictly, ce qui amène beaucoup à se demander s’il n’y a pas plus qu’un simple jeu de jambes fantaisiste.
Alors que Maura, 34 ans, fait allusion à un « special someone » tout en discutant dans la jungle d’I’m A Celeb, le buzz autour de ces trois-là est de retour en force, déclenchant des rumeurs d’un possible triangle amoureux dans les coulisses. Malgré les rumeurs de romance, Pete et Jowita ont été vus passer du temps ensemble loin de la piste de danse, notamment lors d’une visite réconfortante au Dog’s Trust à Basildon.

Jowita n’a pas pu cacher sa joie en se blottissant avec des amis à fourrure pour des photos, se rendant plus tard sur Instagram pour partager son expérience : « Last week, I had the pleasure to visit @dogstrust_basildon. Thank you, team, for a warm welcome, and thank you, @p_wicks01, for taking me there on one of the most beautiful mornings. »
Elle s’est extasiée : « What you’re doing for those little ones is absolutely remarkable, you’re my heroes. Like @p_wicks01 says everyone deserves a second chance. »
Dans l’adorable cliché, Jowita rayonne en blottissant un chiot, avec Pete assis à côté d’elle sur le sol, donnant un peu d’amour à un autre chien. Pete s’est récemment rendu sur Instagram pour partager ses sentiments sincères à l’égard de sa partenaire de danse, en disant : « I’ve been struggling to think of what to say and it’s not often I’m lost for words. I am so overwhelmed and blessed to have had your support over the past three months, I never expected it and I have never taken it for granted. The belief you guys have had in me has been incredible and at times I’m not sure I’ve deserved it, » rapporte le Mirror.
« I’ve said it before, but no amount of words will ever be able to repay what you have given me. People talk about the ‘journey’, and let me tell you, this isn’t my journey at all. It’s our journey. Jowita, you and I have all been on this wild ride, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! »
Alors que certains fans spéculaient sur une étincelle romantique entre eux, Pete a clarifié les choses avec Lorraine Kelly le mois dernier, insistant : « We’ve said from day one that we’re really good friends, but they just want to do what they want to do. »
Maintenant, un ami proche de Pete allègue qu’il a mis fin à sa « romantic liaison » avec Jowita pour tenter de se réconcilier avec Maura. Cette source suggère que les deux se voient de manière occasionnelle depuis environ cinq mois, Pete étant apparemment « completely smitten ».

Lors de l’épisode du 2 décembre de I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here !, Maura s’est confiée sur sa vie amoureuse au camp. Quand Oti Mabuse lui a demandé si elle était célibataire, Maura a répondu de manière intrigante : « I am, but I was seeing someone before I came in, but I’m not in a relationship. »
Le révérend Richard Coles lui a alors demandé si sa relation était « exclusive », s’excusant rapidement pour cette question personnelle. Maura a réfléchi et a répondu : « I dunno. »
Plus tard, le DJ Dean McCullough, désormais évincé de l’émission, a demandé si son homme était un visage familier. Maura a fait allusion avec un regard enjoué, « Yeah… » et a confirmé qu’il lui manquait lorsque Dean l’a demandé.
Lors de son interview sur Lorraine, Sharon Higgins, la mère de Maura, a été interrogée sur les rumeurs de romance entre sa fille et Pete, mais elle est restée coquette, confirmant qu’ils sont « great friends ».
Sharon a déclaré : « I can only say what she has told me, she did tell me that they were great friends and that she’s single and she’s dating. So I don’t know much after that, like, she didn’t really expand on that. So I don’t know what’s happening. Maura and Pete were always friends but like the way Maura is, she at the moment – she was concentrating on herself. »
Elle a ajouté : « I don’t know whether she expected to go on the dating scene again so soon after her last relationship, so I think at the minute. The way she is with friends anyway, she’s supportive. She’s very supportive, and they support her. So at the end of the day, look it, she’s dating, and she’s entitled to date. »

Selon un témoin qui a raconté au Sun : « After they’d sat there for a while, Maura went in for a long kiss with Pete. It wasn’t the kind of kiss you’d give a friend, it was very passionate. »

Pete replied: « Me and Maura have known each other for a long time. »
Olivia continued to probe, saying: « You’ve had a kiss, we’ve seen it! « , to which Pete insisted: « No, you haven’t seen it. »
Not letting him off the hook that easily, Olivia pushed: « We’ve seen a picture of it, » before adding: « Next thing I need to know, are you and your dance partner romantically involved? « .
Pete burst into laughter, exclaiming: « My God! » to which a determined Olivia responded: « You don’t get awards by not asking the questions! » Skilfully avoiding the question once again, Pete revealed: « One of the biggest problems is my b*******. »
He continued: « Well, I’m having to wear like shapewear … because otherwise, Shirley will end up with a couple of black eyes. »
