Live longerThat's good. Doing it in good health is better! Yet, that's not necessarily the direction the world is heading. A study from the University of Washington (USA) shows that life expectancy is increasing faster than healthy life expectancy. In other words, we live longer, but we also spend more time with health problems. The study, published on July 21, 2026 in The Lancet Public Health, underlines the importance of strengthening the prevention of chronic diseases, in order to improve the quality of life of seniors.
